Cityscape Schools celebrated literacy with its Cityscape Reads event on Oct. 31, inviting students and families to participate in a morning of reading and imagination.
The event ran from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and featured special guest readers from the community, including business partners, board members and cabinet members. Students were encouraged to dress as their favorite book characters and take part in activities that highlighted the joy of storytelling.
Cityscape Reads is part of the district’s ongoing effort to promote reading as a cornerstone of academic success. The initiative emphasizes family engagement and community involvement in fostering a strong literacy culture.
The bilingual event, branded as “Cityscape Reads! ¡Cityscape Lee!,” reflects the school’s commitment to serving diverse families and supporting literacy in both English and Spanish.
Cityscape Schools plans to continue hosting Cityscape Reads as part of its mission to change one child at a time through education.
