Cityscape Schools Honors Veterans

José López 🤗 🦅Early Childhood Center Principal My WHY as a campus leader is my belief in teachers and students. Every teacher has the capacity to make a positive impact on students, leading them toward success, just like every student has the potential to be successful. The magic that happens when you combine the talent that teachers and students have is what gives purpose to my role as campus principal. Mr. López has been a principal for the past two years and has served in education for total of 19 years. Celia Sanchez 🤗 🦅East Grand Preparatory Executive Principal My WHY is to educate all scholars, regardless of their socioeconomic background, ethnicity or native language. As educators our mission is to lead students to their greatest potential on their path to college, while nurturing their social and emotional aspirations. Ms. Sanchez has been a campus principal for 7 years, and a total of 15 as an educator. Clarencia Wade 🤗 🦁Buckner Preparatory Principal My WHY is the desire to ensure the academic and social-emotional success of our students, while also instilling a love for teaching and learning within our teachers and staff. I enjoy working in education and it is my hope to continue to strive to lead and revolutionize a system, a way of thinking, and a way of educating that promotes academic success and greatness that extends beyond the classroom walls. Ms. Wade has been an educator for 19 years, five of those as campus principal.

Retention Bonus
Dear Cityscape employees,These last two years have been both challenging and overwhelming for us all. All your departments and teams have been pushed beyond their limits. You have faithfully stayed the course working each day while continuing to accomplish amazing things regardless of the obstacles and challenges. I am grateful to each of you for all you have done. Cityscape's decrease in enrollment and attendance rates has also been financially challenging this year, but regardless our greatest commodity and asset is you. With that in mind, I am glad to announce a $1,500 retention bonus which will be paid in your September paycheck for all returning employees. I know gas, food, rent, and utilities are rising. This increase will help you adjust to the rising cost of living today. This increase is for all of you in this email. Also, Cityscape is increasing the bilingual teacher stipend to $9,000. Superintendent letter about Safety and Uvalde
May 26, 2022 As I stated yesterday, we are all deeply saddened concerning the senseless loss of life in Uvalde, Texas. Again, our collective thoughts and prayers are with our fellow Texans who experienced such a horrible tragedy. Schools should be safe havens in our communities; a place where our students and educators collaborate, grow, and learn. And because it needs to be repeated: keeping our students safe is our top priority. Therefore, Cityscape Schools will have an increased security presence at both campuses for the remainder of the school year with off-duty Dallas police officers patrolling inside and outside the buildings intermittently throughout the school day. I know our Cityscape family stands united in protecting our children as best we can from such senseless violence. May 25, 2022 As soon as I saw the heartbreaking news begin to unfold yesterday from Uvalde, Texas, my heart broke for that school district and community as the unimaginable became a sad reality. It has taken a little bit of time for me to be able to gather my thoughts and reach out to each of you to discuss this tragedy and what it means for us at Cityscape Schools. First and foremost, I want to emphasize that Cityscape joins with all school districts across our state and nation in extending sincere condolences to all those affected by these catastrophic events. Clearly, the effects of such an occurrence will be felt right here at home and many may feel a heightened concern about school safety within the Cityscape community.
