Principal - Early Childhood Center

Maria Jose (MJ) Pajazetovic is currently serving as the Principal at the Early Childhood Center (ECC) for Cityscape Schools. In this role, Ms. Pajazetovic leads the ECC community in fostering a supportive and developmentally appropriate learning environment for all students while guiding teachers and staff in maintaining high standards of instruction and student care.

Previously, Ms. Pajazetovic served as Director of Early Childhood for Cityscape Schools, where she oversaw the curriculum, instruction, and implementation of the Early Childhood Program. She provided district leadership in coaching, technical assistance, and professional development for teachers and staff in prekindergarten through second grade, both in general education and in the Dual Language Program. Since joining Cityscape Schools in 2017, Ms. Pajazetovic has applied her philosophy of educating the whole child, creating and leading an Early Childhood Program that now successfully supports the academic and social-emotional needs of students across the Cityscape community.

Before her time at Cityscape, Ms. Pajazetovic served in Dallas ISD as a teacher for eight years, a Bilingual Instructional Coach for grades Pre-K through 5th for four years, and an Early Childhood Instructional Specialist for grades Pre-K through 2nd for an additional four years. She firmly believes that early childhood development lays the essential foundation for cognitive and social-emotional growth that shapes lifelong success.

Ms. Pajazetovic holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M International University and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Bilingual Education from Texas A&M University–Commerce.
