
Gabriela Camacho
Gabriela Camacho is the Literacy/Biliteracy Coordinator for Cityscape Schools. As a coordinator, she oversees and supports the implementation of the dual language and general education programs. Ms. Camacho also evaluates the metrics for the district to ensure academic and student achievement as well as language development. As part of the Curriculum and Instruction team, she delivers professional development courses to support teacher effectiveness and growth. Ms. Camacho joined the Cityscape School family in 2019 and her efforts have helped Cityscape establish a system of high academic standards that aims to close the achievement gap in all content areas for its diverse population of learners.
Prior to joining the Cityscape family, Gabriela worked for the Dallas Independent School District as a bilingual teacher and instructional coach for over 10 years. Ms. Camacho later served as a central staff employee in the Bilingual/ ESL and the Early Learning Departments. She then held a supervisory role in supporting and training instructional specialists.
Before making an impact in the field of education, Ms. Camacho was an accountant for six years. But, in answering the conviction to make an impact thousands of students, Gabriela received her Master’s in Bilingual Education and chose to follow a course that would eventually lead her to Cityscape. She takes great pleasure in building our communities future leaders as she has for the past 18 years. Ms. Camacho lives with her husband of 20 years and their two daughters.
