A COMMITMENT THAT GROWS WITH OUR STUDENTS
At Cityscape Schools, we believe that a strong education begins with a strong partnership between schools and families. Our mission is to provide a distinctive learning environment where all students are equipped to succeed, lead, and give back to their communities. To deepen that commitment, we are expanding to include a new high school.
Located in Pleasant Grove right next to our Buckner Campus at 8510 Military Parkway, the school will serve students in grades 9-12.

Growing to Serve Our Communities
Families across South Dallas, Pleasant Grove, East Dallas, Mesquite, and Garland deserve access to high-quality educational options that genuinely care for their children’s holistic growth. The Cityscape expansion is fundamentally designed to meet this critical need, creating significantly more space for students to learn, explore, and succeed within the stability of a campus close to home. By extending our current offerings, we are ensuring that continuity of care and academic excellence is available to local families from elementary through graduation, fostering strong community ties and dedicated student pathways.
Currently, middle school students at Cityscape already benefit from a robust academic foundation, including strong general education and dual language instruction. Beyond the classroom, they gain essential life skills through leadership programs and participation in organized sports. These crucial opportunities are designed to help students grow not just academically, but also with the confidence, character, and collaborative spirit needed for future success. This established culture of excellence and comprehensive development will be the foundation upon which our new high school program is built.
As we grow into a comprehensive high school, our goal is to continue and elevate that transformational journey. We will integrate even more expansive and rigorous programs specifically focused on service learning, career exploration, high academic achievement, and advanced leadership development. By offering the Early College Pathways and Industry Based Certifications, the new high school will empower students to define their own futures, fully prepared for college, career, and engaged citizenship, all within a supportive environment they already know and trust.
The Phased Build-Out Plan: A Seamless Transition
To ensure we can meet the target date of August 2028, the high school build-out will occur in a carefully orchestrated, phased manner. Once the necessary Special Use Permit (SUP) is approved, our first strategic step is to deploy high-quality, temporary modular classrooms on the existing campus. These ready-to-use facilities will ensure the inaugural 9th-grade class has dedicated, state-of-the-art learning spaces right away, allowing the academic program to launch on schedule without waiting for the completion of the permanent structure. This commitment guarantees that the first cohort of high school students receives an exceptional educational experience from day one.
While the 9th graders settle into their temporary spaces, full-scale construction of the permanent high school building will commence. The new facility is being designed to seamlessly integrate with our existing campus, minimizing disruption while maximizing future collaborative opportunities. The goal is for the founding students, as 10th graders, to be the first to move into the completed, dedicated high school campus. This deliberate, two-stage plan ensures continuous academic quality, maintains safety, and delivers the promised facility efficiently and effectively for the entire community.
EXPANDING OPPORTUNITY FOR MORE STUDENTS
Additional Students Served
Based on the target enrollment goals, the high school expansion will serve approximately 500 additional students at full capacity. This expansion represents a significant commitment to our community’s future, ensuring hundreds of local students can access a comprehensive, high-quality secondary education pathway right here on our campus.
The phased enrollment plan ensures sustainable growth, maximizing the positive impact on the community. Beginning with the inaugural 9th-grade class in August 2028, enrollment will increase each subsequent year until the campus reaches full capacity with students across all four high school grades. This steady intake not only meets the growing demand for secondary school options but also allows the school to meticulously maintain a favorable student-to-teacher ratio, fostering a focused and personalized learning environment for every student.
College and Career Pathways
The high school expansion offers profound community benefits by substantially increasing access to high-quality, career- and college-preparatory education. By establishing Early College Pathways, we are providing an academically rigorous environment where students can earn college credits and Industry Based Certifications (IBCs) while still in high school. This dual focus on both academic achievement and professional credentials ensures graduates are immediately viable in the workforce or ready for advanced studies, significantly strengthening our district’s contribution to the local economy and talent pipeline.
The inclusion of IBCs ensures that our high school is producing graduates who are not just college-ready, but career-ready. By investing in the equipment, technology, and specialized faculty needed to offer these certifications, the school is directly contributing to the local economic development by cultivating a highly-skilled talent pool. This focus on verifiable, industry-aligned credentials provides a robust return on investment for the community and ensures that every student leaves with a practical skill set valuable in the modern economy.
Community Benefits
Beyond academics and career readiness, the new campus will serve as a valuable community anchor. The expansion provides dedicated facilities that can host local events, workshops, and athletic programs, increasing opportunities for community engagement and partnership. Crucially, by keeping local students in a continuous educational environment from elementary through high school, we strengthen neighborhood ties and ensure that our children have a clear, local path to achieving their fullest potential, equipped with the tangible skills and certifications needed for success.
